The branch approves the selection of Lorena Gazzotti and Ruth Lawlor, Cambridge UCU casualisation officers, as delegates to the UCU’s Annual Meeting for Staff on Casualised Contracts in London on Saturday 29 February 2020. The meeting will hear reports on the work of UCU in relation to staff on casualised contracts, including those on fixed-term, hourly paid, zero hours, sessional and agency contracts. The branch notes that their attendance at the meeting forms part of the efforts of the anti-casualisation working group to represent casualised staff in Cambridge at the national level, and to continue local efforts to raise the bar for contingent workers at this university.
